Anthropophagus Sketch #1

Inspired by one of my favorite artists Keith Thompson.

The Anthropophagus is a true creature of horror. A mimicry, it looks to have the body of a full grown man or woman. Stories have been told by mortified huntsman of sickly derelicts lurking in the wilderness. Their heads bobbing at grotesque angles and their bodies moving impossibly fast as the run in the shadows. They are silent as the dead. One wanderer recalled how he happened upon a clearing and saw a headless body removing the heads of its victims with what seemed to be large gaping jaws. It consumed all the heads save the last, which it kept adorned between its shoulders as a trophy. (The creature is from Shakespeare's Othello)

This is Mini Beat's mischievous little boom box. It is rebellious and constantly manages to get Mini Beat into trouble. Though the boom box does not get along with Mini Beat all of the time, the two are best friends. The boom box tends to get overly excited at times and shorts circuits. If pushed too far, it will sometimes run out of batteries altogether.

The Boom box comes with a cassette player and several different options such as Power, Play, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind, Pause. All six of these buttons are located on the top of the boom box. Right above the cassette tape door are six more buttons: Eject, AM/FM, Volume Up, Volume Down, Tune Up, Tune Down.

Left for Dead Fan Concept: Survivor Wolf Sketch #1

Name: Wolf

Bio: A patient suffering from a mutated version of the infection that was slowing taking his life, Wolf opted to participate in an experimental procedure that would use an artificially engineered version of the infection to cure his infection. While the treatment appeared to cure him of his first infection, it burdened him with a secondary version that transformed him into a beast. Doctors wanted to continue treatment, but Wolf's monstrous side overpowered them and fled far from the hospital. When Wolf came to, he was not sure where he was. Since then Wolf gain more control over his beast form, he is in search of a cure.

Powers: Since escaping the hospital, Wolf has gained better control over his transformations. At will Wolf can transform into a beast which give him heightened senses and speed. In his beast form, Wolf can see the Infected before they attack. Since his beast form takes its toll on Wolf's body, he must be in healthy condition when he transforms, which depletes his health over time. Fortunately like Vamp, Wolf could feed on Infected to regain his health. Wolf can not transform if he is badly injured though and must heal with med pack

Name: Agent M

Bio: Agent M was thought to be a failure of the Infected Soldier Program. He was left for dead, but his corpse was not properly disposed. Agent M returned from the dead barely recognizable. Agent M soon realized that since he looked like the infected, he could move among them quite easily. In fact the Infected never attacked him unless provoked.

Powers: Agent M also realized his body housed several insects that constantly fed on his undying flesh. By emitting a gas similar to Boomer Bile, he could control swarms of flies to attack the Infected. Agent M can also release a large dose of gas to control an Infected for a short amount of time to do his bidding. He can heal himself slowly over time or with a med pack.

Name: Vamp

Bio: Vamp is a mutated Survivor. Though now apparently immune to the infection, she falls somewhere between immune and infected. She has grown heightened senses, speed, and reflexes. Even more frightening is her unique taste for blood. However she is not a bloodthirsty monster and can control these urges. She is looking for a way to cure herself of her infection.

Powers: Vamp's heightened speed and reflexes allows her to move, reload, and heal e quickly. Due to her thirst for blood, she can heal herself during battle while absorbing the blood of a fallen foe. This is done by biting an infected for a period of time, though this leaves her defenseless. When Vamp is severely hurt she can emit an pheromone to attract infected so she can feed.

This is a fan concept for Left 4 Dead

Name: Frank

Bio: Frank was the only survivor of an attempt at the Super Soldier Program that utilized the infection to create a force to fight the Infected. The results were numerous failures. While some patients died instantly, others were transformed into Infected. While Frank seemed to have died on a table, a defibrillator brought him back for a short while. Scientists soon realized that Frank's infected cells reacted to bursts of electrical charges. Without a constant dose of electricity, Frank will lie dormant. Therefore Frank's internal system have been hardwired to a battery to keep Frank...alive. Frank's only mission is to destroy has many infected as possible, and he is up for the task.

Powers: Like the other Survivors, Frank is immune to the infection. Unlike the Survivors in the past, Frank is stronger than a normal human. As a result he can hold more ammo than usual. Frank can recharge his health by using both bandages for absorbing an electrial current into his body. Frank can also make himself invincible for a time, but the result severly drains his batteries.

Description: Dance Bot 1.0 is designed to perform several dance moves seamlessly. In order to do this, the Dance Bot has been equipped with state of the art roller feet and joints. Its body is highly flexible due to its coil based appendages. Dance Bot 1.0 is also programmed to exhibit ten emotions to make its performance more believable.

Meet Mini Beat! A young hip hop artist and break dancer trying to find the right sound, Mini Beat is in search for the best musical talent. One day he hopes to become the most powerful musical producer there ever was. However problems arise when an old cassette player short circuits and sends him spiraling through time and space. Now years, if not eons, away from his own time, Mini Beat must use his cassette player to get him home. However on his way he will meet those who will want the power of his cassette player for themselves. Fortunately the young artist will bump into an assortment characters inspired by musical artists throughout the ages who will help him find the sound he has been looking for to get him home.

Mini Beat is still a kid in grade school and is always looking for a song to dance too. A fan of break dancing and ninjas, he is especially fond of back flips. Mini Beat is a nice kid, but he is constantly getting into a trouble because of his boom box. Mini Beat tries to seem tougher than he is which usually gets him into more trouble.

Left 4 Dead Fan Work: Floater Sketch #1

In light of being of the video game series Left 4 Dead, I did some work inspired by the games.

Name: Floater

Info: The Floater is an Uncommon Infected that inflates the bulbous pustules to float into the air. Once in the air it can eject the gases from its body to propel itself through the air like a jellyfish.

Threat: The Floater is dangerous to survivors, since it can drop from the sky, grab a Survivor, and ascend into the sky while clawing at its victim. It does this by quickly expelling its floater gas until it can wrap its legs around a Survivor's torso. Then it quickly inflates its pustules and floats away. Also if not dealt with, the Floater follow the Survivors. If there is a horde the Floater will float right above the other infected, so that the other infected can hurt the Survivor.

Defense: The Floated makes an audible gulping sound as it ascends. This sound is coupled with a load hissing sound when it descends or propels itself through the air. Listen for the cues and kill the Floater before is ascends. If a Floater has a victim and is kill mid air, the Survivor could be injured from the fall.

Partners: Though the Floater can appear at any time, they most commonly work with the Spitter. Once the Spitter separates the Survivors, it strikes. Beware if a Floater teams with a Smoker. This can reduce the Survivors rate of survival in half.

Achievements:

Float Like a Butterfly: Kill the Floater before it floats away with a Survivor

Sting Like a Bee: Melee the Floater before it grabs a victim

Toilet Floater: Hit a Floater with a Bile Bomb and have it cause a riot amongst the infected

Hindenberg: Hit a Floater in the air with a Molotov Cocktail while it is in the air and use it flaming corpse to light other infected on fire.

Hold Your Breath: Hold a Survivor hostage for 15 seconds as the Flaoter

Don't Forget Your Floaties: Be Killed while you have a Survivor and take them to an immediate death

This is my new blog catered to my website The Noct.com. I will be posting brand new material here for constructive criticism.
